Kinship Social Worker

Gloucestershire County Council are looking to expand their current team. The Kinship team is looking for a Social Worker to join a well-structured and organised team. The Kinship Social Worker role will be for an initial 3-6 months with potential for extension subject to internal circumstance and your performance.

Kinship Social Worker Responsibilities Include:

Conducting Fostering Statutory Visits.
Household Foster Carer review assessment and reporting.
Writing Standards of Care reports
Writing foster care development plans
Writing educational material for special guardian applicants.
Updating the LA database accordingly and performance management.
Undertaking Special Guardianship Assessments
Representing carers at the Fostering Panel
Providing evidence to the court when necessary
Working in partnership with the Children's Social Worker
Connected Persons Assessments
Giving evidence in Court

Requirements / Experience preferred:

Post qualifying experience of working as a Fostering Social Worker within the UK Social Care industry.
HCPC Registration
1-2 years post qualifying experience within the UK Social Care industry
Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
Eligibility to work in the UK.
