Purpose of the role  

We have an exciting opportunity for an Insurance Coordinator to join the Legal and Insurance team based in Solihull. The role as an Insurance Coordinator plays a pivotal role in facilitating the efficient operation of insurance-related processes within our organization. This position involves managing insurance policies, coordinating and facilitating the processing of insurance claims, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The Insurance Coordinator serves as a liaison between our organization, insurance providers, brokers and third parties to guarantee that insurance-related matters are handled accurately and promptly. 

Main Responsibilities  

As an Insurance Coordinator you will be involved, but not limited to the following duties. You will be involved in coordinating the procurement and renewal of insurance policies for the organization which includes data gathering from the different business units and submission to brokers. You will be responsible for maintaining an up-to-date database of insurance policies, including coverage details and expiration dates. Within this, you will manage the day-to-day policy questions from within our business and be able to assimilate policy wording knowledge quickly and effectively.  Another key part to this role will be Claims Processing, the successful candidate will monitor and track the progress of claims, keeping all involved parties informed, having an effective diary system will ensure that all claims are managed to the soonest settlement. You will be able to confidently discuss liability issues with the different business units to ensure they understand and agree liability decisions. As an Insurance Coordinator you will be able to report on claims volumes, trends and settlements to effect change within the business. On a day to day, you will be collaborating with internal departments such as finance, risk management, and legal to ensure alignment on insurance matters. You will work closely and support the Claims Handler to ensure that management of day-to-day claims is efficient and creates value to the business.

Profile  

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. Having a diploma in Insurance Administration and/or being a Member of Insurance Management Institute (PMI) or Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) is desirable. However, it is essential you have experience in an insurance coordination or a similar role. We need someone with strong knowledge of insurance principles, policies, and regulations.

The Insurance Coordinator plays a crucial role in safeguarding the organization against risks and ensuring the smooth functioning of insurance-related processes. The ability to multitask, attention to detail, and effective communication are key attributes for success in this role. You will be proficient in using insurance management software and Microsoft Office Suite (MS Teams, Sharepoint, Power BI). A full driving licence is required.

A salary between £35,000 and £55,000 (dependent on experience)
