As a Tax & Reporting Specialist for the Western Europe hub, you will be at the frontline of revolutionizing reporting practices within BESTSELLER. This role is not just about performing tasks, but about driving change and moving the organization towards greater success. You will play a crucial role in the implementation of the Group Finance Strategy and ensure perfect alignment with the overall vision.

You will work in a centralized team that is passionate about challenging standards and encouraging improvement. You will collaborate internationally to ensure tax compliance and reporting standards in line with industry best practices. Your knowledge will contribute to process enhancement, risk mitigation, and alignment with regulations, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Tasks & responsibilities:

  • Stay up-to-date with tax laws and regulations in West European countries, ensuring company compliance;
  • Collaborate with external providers for accurate and timely tax filings, providing necessary documentation;
  • Assist in tax planning and analysis to minimize tax liabilities and optimize benefits;
  • Manage tax audits for West Europe Hub countries, supported by external advisors;
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external advisors to resolve tax issues;
  • Conduct financial analysis for tax planning, forecasting, budgeting and risk assessment;
  • Lead tax training and development sessions in collaboration with the Group Tax Team;
  • Prepare financial statements and reports compliant with accounting standards;
  • Ensure timely submission of external reports to regulatory bodies;
  • Assist in preparing audit schedules and provide documentation during audits;
  • Collaborate with internal audit team to ensure compliance with internal controls;
  • Support resolution of audit findings related to tax and external reporting matters;
  • Assist during peak times by performing accounting-related tasks as a team player.

Who are you?

  • You have a Bachelor's or Master degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
  • Knowledge of tax regulations and accounting principles, particularly in the West European region;
  • Prior experience in accounting roles preferably with tax compliance and external reporting;
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting tools;
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams;
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines;
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and tax software is a plus;
  • You are willing to travel.
