Main tasks The Acute Leukemia Lab is searching for a highly motivated and enthusiastic postdoctoral fellow with extensive experience in cell and molecular biology as well as experience in planning and conducting mouse experiments. Our team investigates the pathophysiology of leukemias and various solid tumor entities, with a focus on translational research directly related to clinical questions. The aim of our work is to decipher the complex mechanisms of tumor biology and the resulting development of new therapeutics. Our current research focuses primarily on immuno-oncological issues. The position is part of the national THUNDER joint network with the aim of establishing an innovation center for the development of immuno-oncological drugs based on nanobody technology. The focus of your research will include the evaluation of the newly developed nanobody constructs in complex functional in vitro assays using cell lines and patient specimens and in vivo mouse models. The position offers the applicant the unique opportunity to conduct research on "cutting edge" topics in immuno-oncology as part of a translational, highly clinically relevant collaborative project. The position is externally funded and the contract is initially limited to 3 years with the possibility of extension.
