Cranleigh STEM is working with a leading provider of hydrogen fuel cell power systems to generate clean energy in support of the global energy transition.

We are looking for a commissioning technician to join its manufacturing team on a permanent, full-time basis.

The Commissioning Technician is responsible for ensuring that the steps of the Factory Acceptance Tests are followed according to company operating standards.

Responsibilities:

Carry out checks as defined in the Inspection Sheets, and perform tests according to defined procedures.
Troubleshoot electrical, electronic and associated control systems and power circuits, power generating equipment, switchgear, and emergency systems; take appropriate action when failures occur.
Perform the following steps of FAT:
Condition air-cooled stacks according to conditioning SOP.
Create and plot polarisation curves for each conditioned air-cooled stack.
Pressure drop testing.
Communication check of the FCM.
Commissioning of FCM according to given SOP.
Commissioning of the generators according to the given SOP.
Testing and calibration of hydrogen sensors.
Collect test data and provide information to FAT Scientist
Fill out FAT reports according to the template provided.
Report without delay on any issues during inspection to the Team Lead
Undertake and complete additional tasks, as assigned by the Team Lead

Requirements:

Positive, can-do attitude with the willingness to learn.
Computer literacy; Familiarity with Microsoft applications: Word, Excel and Outlook.
Knowledge of report writing and records maintenance
Troubleshooting abilities.
Excellent eye for detail.
Experience in the commissioning of electrical, electronic and control systems would be advantageous but not essential as training will be given.
