OVERVIEW:
Inner 7 Consulting Group is a leading consulting firm committed to delivering tailored solutions across industries. We are currently seeking a La Paloma Bilingual Therapist for our client located in Grayslake, IL. The therapist will provide individual counseling, therapeutic groups, and case management for Latino teens and families in identified schools throughout Lake County. The focus will be on students and families dealing with abuse and the additional challenges of being undocumented. The therapist reports to the Director of La Paloma and works closely with community partners and all programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The La Paloma Bilingual Therapist is responsible for providing individual trauma-informed therapy, counseling, support, and trauma-informed psychoeducation regarding domestic violence issues using a non-judgmental approach in working with clients. Responsibilities include conducting assessments and eligibility evaluations to determine client needs, maintaining a 70% Direct Client Service Hours workload, and completing IM+CANS training to standardize the assessment of clients' global needs and strengths. The therapist will develop individual service and safety plans, update necessary forms for caseloads, and assist in developing and utilizing evaluation tools to assess the quality and effectiveness of enhanced children's services. Ensuring accurate, timely documentation in client records in accordance with agency policies and funding requirements is essential. Additional duties involve providing information on the Illinois Domestic Violence Act, Orders of Protection, and stalking laws to enhance client safety and abuser accountability. The therapist will have a flexible weekly schedule, including on-call rotating duties to support the Emergency Shelter as needed, participate in staff meetings, case management, training sessions, and program events, and work collaboratively within the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Master's degree in social work, counseling, or a closely related field.
* Full Licensure preferred, required LPC, LSW, or in the process of obtaining.
* Fully bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
* Flexibility with schedule to meet the needs of clients and La Paloma staff.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills.
* Experience in providing individual, group, and family counseling.
* Strong organizational skills.
* Ability to be mobile and move to various offices as needed.
* Ability to accept, understand, and relate sensitively to people of varied socio-economic, racial, cultural, and experiential backgrounds.
