Job Title: Cleanroom ECSS Quality Inspector
Location: Portsmouth (Onsite)
Duration: 6-month contract (Possible Extension)
Hourly Rate: £40/hour (Inside IR35)

As a Cleanroom ECSS Quality Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the adherence to quality standards in Space Equipment production, particularly in accordance with ECSS-Q-ST-70-08, 28 & 38. Joining the team in Portsmouth to uphold the highest standards of quality and safety in a dynamic aerospace environment.

Responsibilities:

Champion a quality-first mindset to prevent non-quality issues in the cleanroom.
Monitor and enforce world-class workmanship standards and cleanroom practices/processes.
Conduct inspections on Flight Hardware and Test set-up to validate compliance with design and quality standards.
Identify and address non-conformities, collaborating with manufacturing engineering and relevant stakeholders.
Assist in root cause analysis of non-quality events to prevent recurrence.
Perform internal audits and complete QVP verifications as directed by the Equipment Quality group.
Support operational tasks including critical move and flight packing activities.
Promote a culture of Health and Safety and 5S practices in the cleanroom environment.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and mitigate any associated risks.
Conduct documentation checks, approve reworks, and manage quarantined equipment.
Review and verify the certification of Production and Test staff participating in process activities.

Skillset & Experience: Essential:

Certification to ECSS-Q-70-08/38/28 and/or ECSS-Q-70-61
