This Reward Business Partner opportunity reports to the Director of People and Change and you will work collaboratively across the People and Culture Directorate and wider organisation to support the development and implementation of a competitive and inclusive reward and recognition strategy including base pay, reward and benefits and other financial incentives. You should be happy working in a stand-alone Reward business partner role.

Some responsibilities of the Rewards Partner role:

Provide advice on pay decisions, to ensure consistent application and compliance with our pay and grading framework, policy and operating procedures
Review, research, recommend and develop cost-efficient inclusive benefits and salary sacrifice schemes to enhance the total reward and recognition package for colleagues; and manage provider relationships, approvals, procurement and necessary colleague consultation processes
Lead on the maintenance and development of pay and grading framework, job evaluation and related processes; providing equity, consistency and transparency in comparative grading of generic and unique roles and facilitating benchmarking comparison in accordance with policy
Manage the administration and execution of the annual pay review, leading planning, negotiations with Unison and governance of the end-to-end processes (in partnership with the broader People and Finance teams)
Prepare analysis, data and reports on pay and benefits for the Executive Team and Governance Committees as required
Contribute to the broader People and Inclusion Strategy and lead related initiatives and projects
Lead benchmarking analysis, working with externally appointed suppliers as appropriate
Collect and analyse remuneration data (internally and compared with market) to ensure competitiveness and to enable our Client to attract and retain talent
Coach and support the People Business Partners and other members of the team on reward and recognition policies, principles and processes to enable successful, consistent and equitable delivery of the reward and recognition framework, ensuring compliance with Southern Housing’s remuneration approach
Work with the Recruitment Team to develop competitive pay and benefits packages for potential new hires

What you will bring:

Previous experience of managing robust and equitable pay and reward approaches
Experience of implementing reward plans that align with organisational strategy and culture - attracting and retaining diverse talent for today and tomorrow
Experience of equal pay and employment legislation
Experience of developing and applying pay and benefits policy and leading benchmarking and market analysis
Experience in reward practices in a diverse organisation, with a wide range of job roles
Solid experience of using job evaluation methodologies, Korn Ferry Hay would be advantageous.
Strong influencing and negotiating to which secures the buy in of key stakeholders, including the People Team and line managers
Advanced knowledge of HR systems and MS Office applications, especially Excel (i.e. pivot tables, v lookups, etc to design reports).
