Salary: £40,000 - £49,000 per annum (depending on experience) 

Location: Altham 

Job Description of this Robot Programmer role: 
As a Robot Programmer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our production processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and optimizing robotic systems for complex manufacturing operations. You will work closely with a diverse team of engineers, leveraging your programming expertise to address technical challenges and enhance productivity.

Key Responsibilities of this Robot Programmer role: 
- Develop and optimize robot programs for manufacturing processes, with a focus on milling and turning operations.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to support production, implement process improvements, and solve technical issues.
- Utilize programming languages such as Siemens and NX to program 5-axis milling machines and other manufacturing equipment.
- Investigate and resolve non-conformance issues, conducting data analysis to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Lead new process development projects, including programming, fixture design, and documentation.
- Support lean and six sigma initiatives, driving efficiency gains and waste reduction through process optimization.
- Take ownership of projects from conception to completion, demonstrating strong project management skills and attention to detail.
- Provide training and support to production teams on robot operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Key Requirements of this Robot Programmer role: 
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
- Proven experience in robot programming, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Siemens and NX, with experience in 5-axis milling and turning operations.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and implement effective solutions.
- Experience with process control, change management, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., lean, six sigma).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Project management experience is a plus, with the ability to take ownership of projects and drive them to successful completion.
- Knowledge of quality tools and processes, including FMEAs, ISO standards, and quality system requirements.
