An urgent opportunity has arisen within an independent acoustic consultancy working in a wide variety of sectors but primarily known for their work related to the planning process, construction and entertainment industries. Due to a continued increase in workload an Acoustic and Air Tester/Technician with previous experience of pre completion Sound Insulation Testing and Air Tightness Testing in compliance of Document E and F of the Building Regulations is required to carry out testing nationwide from their office near Harlow. This well established firm is unique in providing the full range of consultancy duties from planning through to project completion.
Experience
Previous acoustic testing experience
Technically competent and IT proficient
Commercially aware and team player
Good communication and client liaison skills
The ability to produce technically accurate reports
Specialist understanding of the required standards and regulations
Resourceful and ambitious with the ability to self manage
Duties
Prepare test schedules in accordance with Part E, Part F and Part L
Liaison with Building Inspectors
Remedial advice in the case of failed tests
Technical report writing
Use of relevant equipment to carry out these tests including sound level meters
Accurate collection & analysis of data in accordance with methods and guidelines as published in the relevant building regulations
Subsequent report writing for submission to Local Authorities / Building Control and clients
Organising of site visits & test dates with clients and those involved with the projects such as architects, surveyors, builders, property developers & local councils
