DEVOPS ENGINEER - SATELLITE TECHNOLOGY TEAM
REMOTE, EAST COAST
EVONA have partnered with a company who are pioneering advancements in satellite technology to drive innovation in geospatial applications. Their team is passionate about pushing the boundaries of what's possible, and are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join us in optimizing our software development and deployment processes.
As a DevOps Engineer, you'll be a key player in ensuring the smooth operation of our satellite missions. You'll work closely with our satellite operators, sales, analytics product software, and other teams to resolve issues, improve processes, and maintain the overall health of our cloud environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Manage day-to-day operations of Kubernetes clusters.
* Maintain and secure our AWS environment, implementing best practices and ensuring overall cloud environment health.
* Collaborate with other engineers to configure resources and auto-scaling groups to prevent unexpected costs.
* Set up and monitor alarms for our cloud environment.
* Contribute to process improvement and documentation.
* Report key performance metrics or anomalies to management.
* Maintain a strong understanding of our products, support, and services.
REQUIREMENTS:
* 2/3 years of experience with Kubernetes.
* 3+ years of Linux systems administration.
* API development experience (HTTP/REST).
* Proficiency with cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure) and Terraform.
* Experience with Python or Go programming languages.
* Familiarity with software version control systems and pipeline tools (FluxCD/Argo/etc.).
* Ability to obtain or currently hold US Security Clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Experience with AWS IAM/Security.
* Current Certified Kubernetes Administrator or Developer certifications.
* Familiarity with Helm Chart.
* Strong "Infrastructure as Code" mindset.
* Experience with SIEM/Log monitoring tools (Datadog/Splunk/etc.).
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
