Our client is looking for an Automation & Software Engineer to join their team in Tilburg! In this role you are responsible for the software development, automation, testing and creating supporting technical documentation for single-use systems business. This position will work closely with design engineers, external contractors, suppliers and quality department. If you are passionate about designing and testing automation solutions - let's talk!

• Carry out automation engineering which includes specification of complete systems, hardware and software specification of industrial automation, control- starter- and HMI- panels, necessary technical documentation, functional description specification, O&M manuals and FAT of the control panel.

• Specification of RFQ for automation (PLC and HMI) based on input from Process and URS.

• Specify all parts of a control system for components, systems.

• Prepare necessary technical documentation such as functional description specification, SDS, O&M manuals and FAT of the control panel.

• Review and approve vendor and subcontractor submittals, checking for compliance with project specifications and providing comments as necessary.

• Prepare, review and approve single-line diagrams and schematics diagrams.

• Prepare, review and approve electrical equipment building layout drawings.

• Prepare spare part lists and preservation reports.

• Contact with existing / new vendors to implement state of the art industry solutions.

• Technical Education / Training / Mindset: Bachelor's degree (HBO) in Electrical Engineering or Software / Automation Engineering or Operational Technology or similar Engineering Education / Training OR combination of related technical education and experience at a similar position (2-3 years minimum)

• Experience with CODESYS, PLC Programming, HMI Programming

• Experience and/or knowledge on listed areas: C#, Siemens TIA Portal, SCADA, Automation

• Familiarity and/or knowledge on listed communication protocols: Profibus, Ether CAT, Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus TCP, TCP/IP, IO-Link

• Ability to create, read and understand and assess electrical drawings.

• Ability to make electrical and instrumentation control design (concept & detailed design), costing, estimation, and quotations.

• Experience on bug tracking

• Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with customers and suppliers.

• Experience working with piping/tubing systems.

• Technical knowledge & understanding of PIDs (Process & Instrumentation Diagrams)

• Familiarity with pneumatics and pneumatic control logic

• GEM-5 & GAMP 5 is an advantage

• Demonstrated problem solving skills.

• Ability to communicate verbally and written in English

• Travel to customer locations to assist in trouble shooting of existing systems.

• Preparing FDS, SDS kind of documentation
