Our Client are seeking passionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team in providing exceptional care and support to young people with EBD. As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in empowering individuals to develop life skills, manage their emotions, and engage positively with their environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one support to young people with EBD in a supported living setting.
Foster a safe and supportive environment conducive to the personal and emotional development of individuals.
Assist in the implementation of individual care plans, tailored to the specific needs of each resident.
Support residents in developing essential life skills such as cooking, cleaning, and personal hygiene.
Encourage positive social interactions and facilitate group activities to promote community engagement.
Monitor and document the progress and behaviors of residents, communicating effectively with the wider care team.
Collaborate with external professionals and agencies to ensure holistic support and continuity of care.
Respond effectively to challenging behaviors using de-escalation techniques and positive behavior management strategies.

Qualifications and Experience:

Previous experience working with young people with Emotional and Behavioral Difficulties (EBD) is highly desirable but not essential.
A compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting vulnerable individuals.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and effectively manage challenging situations.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
A commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
