Job Title: Material Planner

Location: Thrapston

Salary: up to £30,000

The Role

Our client is currently looking for a Material Planner who will be in charge of controlling the supply of the materials used to meet production requirements. The successful candidate should be able to forward production programmes to be consistent with target stock levels.

Duties and responsibilities:

To understand and manage the risks with material supply and to keep impact to the production schedule to a minimum.
To lead the co-ordination of modifications and implementations with the supply to minimise unusable stock and assure the availability of materials.
To be able to develop relationships with suppliers to drive delivery KPI improvements.
Negotiation with the supplier to ensure costs are kept to a minimum.
Inventory management, and stock adjustments to maintain accuracy and reliability of stock.
To liaise with the Logistics Provider and Inventory Analysis Team.The Candidate

Experience in Material Planning & Logistics
An awareness of Lean Manufacturing procedures.
The ability to communicate with all stakeholders and to be able to work accurately and efficiently.
