Operations Supervisor - machine & workshop
A global leader in their field of Engineering - specifically Aerospace & Defense, is looking for a Permanent Operations Supervisor or Machine Shop Supervisor to join their team working Mon- Thurs 8-5 and earlier finish on a Friday.

With a strong machining and workshop background, you will pick up the operational responsibility for the machining and electroplating teams, planning and scheduling workload in line with the site production schedule, through Quantum ERP system.
Maintain and ensure implementation of all standard operating practices and procedures.
Train, motivate and performance manage staff; complete performance reviews, identify training and development opportunities for team members. Manage first level discipline and grievance issues for team members.
Maintain the function of plant and equipment to include machine maintenance (preventative and scheduled).
Maintain and monitor stock levels of machine shop consumables.
Co-ordinate the efficient use and organisation of resources and equipment to meet the production schedule.
Plan for and support the implementation of new product development initiatives.
Ensure strict compliance and implementation of all safety standards.
Ensure component work is undertaken in accordance with procedures from CMM's and overhaul manuals.
Liaise with the customer support team to facilitate achievement of efficient and effective customer service levels
The Person
Experience within Engineering Industry
Team leadership experience within a production/machine workshop environment
Computer literate Interested in joining a company with a solid reputation in the aerospace industry for providing a broad range of services to international and regional airlines, helicopter operators and airframe manufacturers.
