They are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing all costs relating to building projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures.

Quantity Surveyor - Main Contractor

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review cost estimates and budgets for upcoming projects.
Analyse and evaluate tender documents, specifications, and drawings.
Manage the tendering process and assist in the selection of contractors and suppliers.
Conduct risk analysis and provide cost advice during the early stages of the project.
Monitor and control project costs against the agreed budget.
Prepare and submit interim valuations and final accounts.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of variations, claims, and contractual disputes.
Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and verify costs.
Manage subcontractor accounts, including measurement and valuation of work done.
Maintain accurate records of project costs and progress.
Prepare detailed reports for senior management on cost status and financial performance.
Assist in the preparation of monthly cost/value reconciliation reports.
Work closely with project managers, site managers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
Liaise with clients to ensure their financial requirements and expectations are understood and met.
Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to achieve best value and quality.

Quantity Surveyor - Main Contractor

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
Main contracting experience is essential.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
