Behaviour Support Assistant - KS1/KS2 - Wakefield

A primary school in Wakefield is looking for a caring Behaviour Support Assistant to join their team. This role is due to start ASAP until the end of the academic year.
If you are patient, understanding and up for a challenge then you will be perfect for this role.
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
Building strong rapport with the pupils in your care to help them feel comfortable and relaxed.
To work alongside other support staff and assist with behaviour management where needed.
To provide 1:1 support to pupils in need of extra assistance.
To support the class teacher with the day to day running of the class.
To ensure child care plans are followed accurately so the needs of each child are met.To qualify as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, experience working with children and/or adults with learning disabilities is required. This can be professional or personal experience, such as having a family member with additional needs.
