SEND Teaching Assistant

Full time (Monday - Friday) (Temporary to Permanent)

Rotherham

£445 - £465 Per Week (Salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)

Contract Dates: 20th May 2024 – Flexible start dates

The School and Role

Vision for education is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to work with pupils between the ages of 16 – 25 years old within an Ofsted rated ‘Excellent’ SEND college based in Rotherham. The role requires a passionate, caring, and enthusiastic individual to support vulnerable young adults who have special education needs. The successful applicant will have had previous experience in dealing with Challenging Behaviours, autism, and moderate learning difficulties. This can be a very rewarding role for somebody who wants to make a positive impact on a young adult’s life. You would work alongside the class teacher with day-to-day actives working within a group setting as well as on a 1:1 basis with student learners.

Requirements

The desired SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

Experience of working with pupils with SEND.
Experience of supporting vulnerable children or adults.
Be able to adapt to challenging situations that can arise.
An ability to work as part of a team.
Experience working with challenging Behaviours.
