Job requirements and responsibilities: Perform isolation and structural elucidation of novel natural products. Refactor and express biosynthetic gene clusters, exploring innovative pathways of natural product biosynthesis. Employ genome mining techniques to identify promising microbial gene clusters. Apply metabolic engineering strategies to actinomycetes to optimize the production of valuable metabolites. Collaborate with leading experts from academia and industry, including partnerships with top pharma and biotech companies. Your academic qualifications: Completed scientific university studies in microbiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, chemical engineering, or a related field. The successful candidate will also be expected to: Demonstrated skills in analytical and experimental techniques, Previous experience in microbiology, molecular biology, or organic chemistry is highly regarded, Excellent communication skills in English; German language skills are an asset.
