Scientist Analytical Development / RNA Chromatography Scientist required for development, optimization, and execution of RNA chromatographic methods for various BioNTech mRNA platforms. The tasks include development and optimization of sample preparation, RNA chromatographic methods and data processing workflows. Furthermore, the scientist will be actively involved in troubleshooting activities, method transfers to quality control departments and communications with external collaborators and contract research organizations (CROs). Development, optimization, and establishment of RNA chromatographic methods (development of new methods and optimization of existing HPLC/UPLC methods including sample preparation methods) Planning and developing analytical strategies for accurate and robust RNA chromatographic methods including sample preparation (RNA digestion and sample clean-up) and workflows for data acquisition and analysis Data processing and evaluation, documentation of experiments, authoring of reports and protocols; and data communication Actively involved in method troubleshooting activities, method transfers to BioNTech quality control departments and communications with internal and external partners Provide technical support for project and strategy, and CMC interdisciplinary teams Academic studies with PhD in chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, biology, biochemistry, life sciences or other related fields In depth scientific knowledge and hands-on experience with chromatographic methods (HPLC/UPLC with different detection systems including UV and HR-MS) Broad experience in developing and optimizing HPLC/UPLC methods for the analysis of biological macromolecules (preferably nucleic acids) in complex matrices Experience in RNA analytics is considered a plus At least 2 years of professional experience in a CROs or pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical industry is beneficial Team player with excellent writing and verbal communication skills, ability to interact in a dynamic and multidisciplinary environment Independent and ability to manage and quickly pivot to changing priorities Flexible Working Time Mobile Office Work from EU Countries (up to 20 days per year) Company Pension Scheme Childcare Jobticket Company Bike Leave Account Fitness Courses and much more.
