Great opportunity for a Health, Safety & Compliance Coordinator to join a company based on the outskirts of York in Tockwith. You’ll be working for a company who deliver exciting and innovative projects within the creative industries, everything from TV sets to giant artworks and jaw-dropping structures. Their work can be seen around the world, so this is a really unique opportunity to work at a forward-thinking company with a large multi-disciplined manufacturing facility delivering work for some of the best-known names.
You will work closely with the Production team to support all departments and external parties in relation to health and safety of employees
The successful Health & Safety person will be responsible for:
Working with all departments to identify & manage Health & Safety risks
Maintaining accurate records & reporting information to the H&S Manager
Liaising closely with third party contracted services
Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
The ideal candidate will have some previous relevant experience in a similar Health & Safety role, ideally from working in a manufacturing or construction business. The role would suit someone who is driven and has an enthusiastic and positive attitude to work. You should have a NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent qualification and understand the application of the Health & Safety at Work Act. Multi-site experience would be beneficial as would experience of working with ISO18001/(phone number removed)/9001. You should also have a good level of IT, excellent attention to detail and be a team player.
The hours are 40 hours per week working Monday to Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm and the salary is up to £33,500 dependant on experience and the business is commutable from York, Wetherby, Knaresborough, Tadcaster & surrounding areas
