Design Coordinator - Data Centre - Frankfurt

Falcon Green have partnered with a reputable, award winning main contractor that specialises in the delivery of modern-day mission critical and data centre infrastructure across Ireland, the UK and Europe, in their search for a Design Coordinator to join the team in Germany. After the successful acquisition of a landmark hyperscale data centre scheme in Frankfurt, they are now expanding their design team and require someone confident in managing a scheme valued at over €50m.

In terms of experience, someone coming from a data centre background is advantageous however not a necessity. Project delivery ability, proven track record, commercial awareness and people management ability is key.

You will be working for a market leading contractor that operates a diverse business model and demands modern health and safety and employee engagement practises. With the order book full for several years in the UK and Central Europe, there is excellent scope for a credible Design Coordinator to step into a Design Lead role in the near future.

Design Manager Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing Design Delivery Schedule along with the client, Project Manager, Design team and consultants.

• Control the design process, from cradle to grave

• Regular meetings with the production team and ensuring all technical issues are addressed immediately

• Manage and coordinate external consultants

• Liaise with key personnel within the project team in preparation of project costing and design works

• Ensure consultants prepare the detailed design by Employers Requirement and Contractors Proposals

• Manage and review the design development process ensuring value engineering and buildability are considered

• Assist Project Manager in incorporating onto a tracking sheet all internal and external design and cost issues.

• Manage the distribution and production of project workload within the project team and design consultant team.
