About the role

As part of our own expansion, We are currently looking to recruit a number of new positions in our Mental Health Specialist Support Worker roles based at our Mental Health Rehabilitation and Recovery service in Shropshire.  The role will be based in Shrewsbury to provide recovery-focused support to individuals with complex and enduring mental health needs, working as part of a 24-hour service.

In your role you will assist Adults with ordering medication, diet, exercise, employment, training, relationships, sleep hygiene, daily activities, appointments, and confidence.  Our main goal is to support our resident groups daily living goals so they can live independently, whilst living with mental health illness(s) .

We work closely with the NHS, adult Mental health social workers, advocates, local support charities, employment agencies and family to ensure that a personal support plan and goals can be reached for everyone.

About You

We are looking for a highly motivated, flexible, enthusiastic  team members who would like to join our team  to deliver a quality service to vulnerable adults.

Qualities and skills

Caring, good listener who is proactive. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Have hobbies or interests that could support our customers in finding their own.
Some experience with mental health and other challenging behaviours
Doesn’t mind IT, basic knowledge of Microsoft, we can teach you the rest.
Flexibility and understanding
Great sense of humour and a can-do attitude
Someone who can progress with support with they’re personal development and training.
Understand confidentiality and record keeping
Good time keeping, reliability and punctuality.
