A quick browse through our website or Instagram will show you this isn’t your average graphic design job…Our creations are predominately designed in-house and manufactured on site, so our lively studio is where graphic design and fine art collide.

We are seeking a highly capable & experienced Lead Designer to join the team.

Working on the development of art collections, as the Lead Designer you will establish the conceptual and stylistic direction for the project and be responsible for high-level creative thinking, producing innovative ideas and steering the visual language for the rest of the team.

Once the creative direction for the project has been agreed with the client, you will then be responsible for Design Development and execution to bring that vision to life. This can be either personally and/or by overseeing other team members or external suppliers’ creative output.

Working with the wider project team, the goal is to translate the client’s brief into an innovative and impressive art package that wow’s its target audience and is delivered on time and in budget.

Core Tasks include:

* Generating and communicating ideas and concepts in tandem with other creative teams (e.g Product Design) including presenting to clients

* Producing sketches, storyboards, art layouts based on creative visions and ideas

* Create artwork from concept to final execution within deadlines

* Incorporate feedback (internal & external) / adapt work as the project evolves

* Manage and delegate project responsibilities to other designers/artists and provide direction

* Having a clear overview of the project timeline, taking ownership of key milestones and ensuring deadlines are met for meetings and presentations.

* Communicating and meeting regularly with the wider project team to assess project development, review work and determine whether the project is on target and within scope/budget

If you have the experience we are looking for and are ready to really stretch your artistic and digital design capabilities, then we have an exciting role for you.

* Degree in Graphic Design, Fine Art, Textile Design, or similar (or can clearly demonstrate equivalent professional experience)

* Minimum 6yrs+ experience in a studio/print/creative environment.

* Expert in Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator but with a continuous learning mindset

* A portfolio that demonstrates a creative eye for colour, composition and imaginative thinking.

* Hand painting / drawing skills would be really advantageous

* IT literate with good general knowledge of Microsoft Office

* Good working knowledge of digital printing

* Methodical, organised and accurate working style

* Ability to work at pace and deliver multiple responsibilities simultaneously

* Strong communication skills - able to build effective working relationships with other departments, suppliers and clients alike

* Positive, full of creative energy, ideas and a desire to always be learning

Due to the nature of the role, this is a full-time position based in our Warwick studios.
