Job Title: Client Bookkeeper

Role Overview: They are seeking a skilled Client Bookkeeper to manage bookkeeping, management accounting, and VAT for our diverse client portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a thriving team in a rapidly expanding practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain bookkeeping records for a diverse portfolio of clients.
Perform regular bookkeeping duties, including transaction recording and account reconciliations.
Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time.
Assist in the preparation of management accounts and financial statements.
Process invoices, payments, and receipts efficiently.
Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
Liaise with clients to gather financial information and provide updates.
Offer financial advice and support to clients as needed.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably within a large accountancy practice.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Excel.
Strong understanding of VAT regulations and experience in preparing VAT returns.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple clients and tasks effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Relevant bookkeeping or accounting qualifications (e.g., AAT) are preferred but not essential.
