We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher to join this dynamic school community and make a positive difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs.

Position Overview: As an SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing specialized instruction, support, and guidance to students with a range of SEN, ensuring they receive the tailored education they need to thrive. Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, you will develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), deliver engaging lessons, and create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student well-being and academic achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with SEN, in collaboration with parents, caregivers, and support staff.
Deliver differentiated and engaging lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs and abilities of students with SEN, utilizing a range of teaching strategies, resources, and assistive technologies.
Provide ongoing assessment of student progress and attainment, adapting teaching approaches and interventions as necessary to support individual learning goals.
Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and external agencies, maintaining regular communication and collaborating effectively to support student well-being and development.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices, resources, and strategies for supporting students with SEN across the school community.
Participate in SEN reviews, annual reviews, and other relevant meetings to contribute to the ongoing support and progress of students with SEN.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
Specialization or additional qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN) teaching or support.
Proven experience teaching students with SEN, preferably within a mainstream or specialist setting.
Strong understanding of SEN legislation, policies, and best practices in SEN education.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
Compassion, patience, and empathy for supporting students with diverse learning needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
