Hart Door Systems are looking for a CAD Technician to join our fantastic team and support the growth of our business.

Based in Newcastle upon Tyne, we are a family-owned business that was founded in 1946. We manufacture a range of industrial doors and install though out the UK as well as service overseas contracts. We bring generations of engineering experience and pioneering product expertise to customers worldwide.

The Role:

Working both on your own and as part of a team:

To design and deliver and maintain detail drawings, material specifications and other necessary supporting documentation for purchasing, production documentation and technical files.
To maintain control and issue of registers of status of all drawings including issue, approvals and sign off both in hard copy within technical files and on company database.
To design and detail bracketry, door arrangements, sub-assemblies and parts for production, installation, and sales purposes.
To issue accurately and timely all necessary documentation to achieve contract and work commitments.
To liaise with all pertinent management and operatives to ensure everybody is working towards a common goal.
Complete necessary administration duties.The Candidate:

Hold a Draughtsman's Diploma or associate degree (or equivalent)
AUTOCAD & AUTOCAD LT:
SOLID WORKS Familiarity with system ability to print data (to be evaluated whether company will continue with solid works and if so further training will be given).
DATABASE: Good knowledge of system and ability to interact recording and updating relevant information and deliver KPI's and reports.
Microsoft office: good working knowledge of all software packages and planning software, including the ability to update manuals.Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Liaise and receive product data from sales and provide cut list, material specification and test and inspection plans timely as required.
Submit for approval to production management.
Monitor and report times and dates to ensure delivery dates are met.
Control of drawings and maintenance in registers, issues, dates, sign off.
Construction and maintenance of technical files ensuring accurate, current updates are controlled in index and registers including OEM's, data sheets and supporting documents.
Liaison with factory, hand over and handshake job files.
Liaise with sales and administration.
Quality circles for eradication of NC's (improvement opportunities).
Reporting, time recording, job recording as required by systems and line manager.
Completing SOP and procedures as required within QA system and general system processes and database.
Computer systems data entry
Work within teams on engineering, design and administration projects.
General work requirements identified by management as appropriate.
Overtime as and when required dependant on the business needs.Overseas candidates will NOT be considered for this role. We are not sponsoring Visa's at this time, so please refrain from applying unless eligible to work in the UK
