Fitter/Assembler

Full Job Description:
M4 Specialist are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Fitter/Assembler who can assemble Engineering Machinery Equipment to a high standard at our client’s team at a busy company in Armthorpe. This is a permanent position working for a local engineering company with a great working environment.
Shifts for the role of Fitter/Assembler:
* Monday to Thursday: 0800am – 1700pm, Friday 0800am – 16:30pm.
Duties of a Fitter/Assembler:
* Perform safety-related functions.
* Demonstrate safe and proficient use of shop tools.
* Demonstrate basic engineering mechanical knowledge.
* Competent in welding techniques.
* Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot.
* Proficient in understanding and reading drawings.
* Be proactive and have positive attitude.
* Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
* Maintain a clean and safe work area.
* Regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately.
* To be able to use Overhead Crane Equipment (training given).
* To be competent in the use of certain Hand Tools such as Electrical Grinders and Electric Drills.
Requirements for the role of Fitter/Assembler:
* ‘City and Guilds’ or other relevant experience.
* Apprentice trained in engineering.
* EITB Qualification.
* Fitting – Assembly Qualification.
* Bench Fitting Qualification / Experience.
* Level 2 or level 3 diploma in engineering.
* Experience with how to implement safe working practices.
* Health & Safety qualifications required.
