Position: Container Transport Planner
Location: Witham
Hours: Thursday & Friday 09:00 - 17:30
Salary: £29,000 (Pro-rata)
Our client is seeking an experienced Container Transport Planner to join their reputable team part-time as part of a job share. Our client is the largest Employee Owned Logistics Company in the world, where employees are at the heart of everything they do.
This role will suit an experienced Container Transport Planner with solid knowledge and proven experience in Container planning. Our client is looking for a forward-thinking and enthusiastic team player to join their team.
Your key responsibilities as a Transport Planner:
Routing and scheduling vehicles to optimise fleet utilisation
Booking VBS slots
Arranging the release, collection and delivery of containers
Proven knowledge of geographical routes and driver regulations in the UK
Dispatching and debriefing drivers
Solid WTD knowledge
Hands on coordination of emergency response and resolution of road incidents
Liaising with customers and colleagues to ensure the operation runs smoothly and cost-effectively
Completing all administration tasks and dealing with infringements, so good attention to detail is required to ensure the accuracy of information
Maintaining company policies and proceduresRequirements:
