Environmental Manager

This is an exceptional opportunity to develop and implement the Environmental strategy for a highly regarded, award-winning and market-leading Construction organisation covering a diverse portfolio of national projects.

Working as part of the senior management team, this strategic position will focus on the development and implementation of the Environmental Strategy, working closely with all areas of the business to promote and support environmental management while managing a small team.
This flexible and hybrid position will work from home, a local office based near Chester and will be required to travel to national sites. Although the majority of sites you will visit are based in the North of England, a flexible and willingness to travel further is required.

Key responsibilities of the Environmental Manager include:
Assist in the creation and implementation of the Environmental strategy and lead improvements across the organisation.
Collate relevant environmental data for reports including trend analysis.
Attend meetings as required
Manage and develop a team
Investigate and propose new environmental and sustainability initiatives.
Plan and conduct site based environmental audits and inspections when required
Assist with and lead environmental incident investigations as required. The successful Environmental Manager will have:
Environmental degree, or equivalent in a similar discipline.
Experience across Construction or similar discipline. In return the successful Environmental Manager will receive:
A basic salary of £60,000 - £65,000
Company car (electric options) or Car allowance
Exceptional pension scheme up to 15% total.
