Job Description:
We are seeking a Temporary Accounting Clerk to support our finance team by handling a variety of accounting and clerical tasks, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and record accounts payable and receivable transactions.
Assist in preparing financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
Perform data entry for financial transactions and maintain updated records in our accounting software.
Reconcile bank statements and assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Verify the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents.
Assist with payroll processing and related tasks.
Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding financial and accounting matters.
Support the finance team during audits and compliance-related activities.
Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by the finance team.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 2+ years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
