Structural Technician

We are currently looking for a Structural Technician for our client, a multi-disciplinary engineering practice with a passion for excellence, innovation, and environmental sustainability. The successful candidate will join the existing structural service line, which provides engineering consultancy for projects primarily within the automotive, commercial, industrial, retail, education, and residential sectors.
 
The Structural Technician will:
Be responsible for detailing and modelling a wide range of building structures on medium to large-scale projects for various schemes, ensuring high accuracy and attention to detail.
Develop general arrangement layouts and models, coordinating activities to detail structures and foundations in core materials like steel, concrete, masonry, and timber.
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, ensuring compliance with Building Information Modelling (BIM) protocols up to Level 2, Common Data Environments (CDE), and reinforced concrete detailing standards.
Utilise Revit for Structural Engineering (primarily) and AutoCAD for project work, ensuring familiarity with various building techniques and high-quality outputs.  
The Structural Technician will have:
Demonstrable technical ability in developing general arrangement layouts and models using Revit and AutoCAD, with familiarity in Navisworks, BIM protocols, and reinforced concrete detailing as desirable skills.
At least 2 years post-graduate experience in a similar or transferable role, ideally within a consultancy environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of representing the company professionally to fellow project professionals.
Strong ability to operate independently and as part of a team, coordinating work with others and ensuring high attention to accuracy and detail.
