I’m currently working with an innovative Southampton based engineering group who have been going for nearly 40 years and specialise in providing meteorological instruments to sectors such as Energy, Transport, Defence, Sport & Security. The company are market leaders within their vertical, have picked up plenty of awards and have 4 separate businesses within their group.

Software Development plays a huge part in linking their products together and this is where this role comes in. The company are looking for a Lead Developer who can take on managerial responsibilities along with hands on coding and lead the team as they move into more web & cloud based development.

The Role – Lead Software Engineer

£80,000-£90,000
Southampton – Once a week in the office.
Managing a team of 3-4 developers. Role remains very hands on with an equal split.
Main requirements are to be really experienced in all levels of C++ - old to new versions.
This includes embedded and web applications on Linux systems.
Strong leadership experience, mostly technical but with some managerial.
