Technical Machine Setter

The Company
A well-established precision engineering company.
The Role
To set and operate perforating and CNC machines to produce high-quality perforated metal and plastic components.
My client is looking for a candidate who has experience working within a modern manufacturing environment, with a strong track record for improving processes. Experience with a variety of metals.
Duties:
To set and operate CNC perforating presses.
To work on continuous improvement projects to drive productivity, quality, and process improvements.
Work as a key member within the engineering team to determine optimal production routes for products to optimise cost, achievable quality/tolerances and lead time and supply information to sales for quotation purposes.
To produce quality parts at output targets
To carry out checks in line with ISO 9001:2015 procedures
To support the engineering team in investigating production defects and contributing to the root cause and corrective action implementation to resolve production and product issues.
Ensure quality standards are met and high standards of housekeeping are maintained.
To drive a continual improvement culture within the team
Attend other meetings and generate ideas for improvements.
To work as part of a team
The Candidate
Experience working in a manufacturing environment setting machines
Able to work from engineering drawings
Able to use measuring equipment
Experience using manufacturing best practises is ideal
Experience using a forklift would be desirable
The Package
The salary offered for this position is £12 per hour- £16 per hour plus up to 30% bonus to candidates who can meet all key qualifications and abilities
