We are working with a client looking for a passionate Data Developer with expertise in both Oracle and SQL database design and data solutions for Azure to join their established team. This is a 12 months fixed term salaried role and offers hybrid working with offices based in Central Manchester.
Your main responsibility will be to support all database & reporting development during a period of significant transformation for the business. This will include maintaining legacy reporting solutions, assisting with migration activity, and promoting the adoption of the Azure BI stack. You will work within the established development team understanding and maintaining current data and reporting functionality whilst also developing and deploying data solutions for Azure using CI/CD.
Essential skills:
* Demonstrable experience in a similar data development role within a commercial environment
* Relational database design and development - Oracle and SQL
* Developing data solutions for Azure using CI/CD
* Using Azure BI products such as Azure Analysis Services, Azure Synapse Analytics, and pipelines
* Developing Logic Apps and Power Apps
* Python, Scala or .NET
* Integration tools such as Data Factory or Azure Integration Services
* Visual Studio, Azure DevOps and Power BI
* Understanding of storage technologies such as Azure Cosmos DB, MongoDB, Azure Data Lake Storage
* Agile and Waterfall methodologies
