Plant Operative

The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a Plant Operative to work Nights for a local Waste Management Client based in Middlesbrough. The successful candidate will be able to support the Operational Manager and the team by carrying out the following duties.

* Operating and maintaining (once fully trained) plant and machinery in Materials Recovery Facility areas of the site Machines include; loading shovel, forklift trucks attachments, Telescopic handlers and baling/ compactor equipment Working as part of a team to ensure bags are produced in an orderly manner

* Complete daily checks and defect reporting for the plant, keeping the plant clean inside and out

* Effectively managing vehicles delivering or collecting from site

* Participate in skip waste sorting and the positive picking of larger items of recyclables from

* tipped vehicles

* Quality checking on incoming materials and bales to ensure they are at the required standard

* Bailing/ compacting of material or forming good quality bales for reprocessing

* Experience operating plant machinery, including loading shovel

* Baling/ compacting experience

Hours of work and pay rates:

* Tuesday to Friday night shift, 17:45pm till 6:15am

* £13.90 per hour for basic hours, £19.64 per hour after completing base 48 hours, £27.80 per

for any bank holidays worked
