Senior Engineer - E/E architecture

Responsibilities:

Engineering and Design optimization of LV wiring, HV Wiring, Electronics (Controls, sensors),ADAS, HMI, ECU’s, Electrical Distribution (EDS), fuses, power distribution, Displays (Cluster, Centre Display, Heads-Up Displays, battery, horn, Audio unit, speakers, switches

Product Design & Development knowledge of the above competencies along with vehicle motion controls, Body controls and Body electronics

Working closely with cross functional teams like Teardown centre, SME’s, VAVE Teams and other competencies to identify and coordinate collection of Key Cost optimization, Technology & VAVE observations in above specified areas.

Understand vehicle/sub system functional objectives, inter dependencies, and study the packaging, serviceability, plant assembly process/ cost implications and cost drivers to identify Key observations that translate to Ideas.

Track vehicle level BOM, component weights and related inputs to generate ideas in area of expertise to propose competitive set and related analytics.

Working on identifying design optimization opportunities using 3D Scan data.Working closely with cross functional teams like Teardown centre,Tech centre, SME’s, VAVE Teams and other competencies to identify and coordinate collection of Key Cost optimization, Technology & VAVE observations.

Create study flow for opportunities at the Plant, rationalize the opportunities and DRAFT ideas for SME Level 1 review, refine the idea and obtain signoff from SME and publish a final version of Ideas.

Preparation or co-development of Teardown - BOM and Ideas with Plant team.

Essential:

Min 5-7 years of experience with automotive OEM or equivalent in EDS / Power supply ,Vehicle controls, electronics

Must have strong hands-on experience in Automotive Eco system.

Good knowledge of functional objectives of vehicle wrt Electrified systems of vehicle, Vehicle controls, vehicle Connectivity, features.

Good understanding of functional science of Electrical and Electronics

Work closely with SME developing technical solutions within cost and timing target. Make samples Ideas for SME review and finalization, Conduct idea reviews with SME per plan

Experience of packaging study and component design

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency in Excel.

Preferred Experience:

Vehicle assembly process knowledge and system and component tooling and process experience.

vehicle packaging knowledge.

Electrified systems of vehicle, Vehicle controls, vehicle Connectivity, features, Process knowledge of casting, sheet metal and forging.

Strong Analytical capability

Skills:

Design, Development, 3D Modeling, DMU Analysis, VAVE , 2D Drawing and Detailing, Motion Simulation.

Qualification:

BE/ME/MS in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering / Electrical / Electronic Engineering.
