Venatu Recruitment Group are recruiting a Mechanical Engineer (with electrical bias) for a leading, family run, manufacturing company based in Huddersfield.
Following a period of growth, our client is looking to add an additional Maintenance Engineer to their thriving team.
Duties and responsibilities;
Maintain a safe working environment at all times throughout our food processing facilities.
Maximise equipment availability by responding safely and effectively to breakdowns.
Support the manufacturing process.
Ensure machinery is maintained and repaired to a high standard.
Carry out planned routine and reactive maintenance repair work on all equipment.
Be able to maintain technical skills and knowledge and continuously update them.
Have strong multi-skilled background with an electrical bias and be able to understand root cause of machine breakdown and develop solutions to engineer out.
Recognises potential problems with existing equipment and can develop solutions.
Candidates must be flexible to cover some weekend shifts.
Competencies:
Excellent Communicator.
Good attitude and flexible to assist in meeting business needs.
Must be a team player and be willing to coach other members of the team
Experience with operational standards to ensure compliance as it is outlined in the company’s policies and procedures and processes.
Preferred 18th Addition, Electrical/mechanical qualification ONC/HNC or equivalent
Preferred not required HACCP / Food Safety and Hygiene
