Social Value Manager
The Social Value Manager will ensure the successful planning, monitoring, and delivery of our social value strategy across our business.
An outgoing, confident, and personable communicator, the applicant will be a real team player, linking their regional business with the customers and communities they serve, whilst working alongside and with the Operational Teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Chair the CSR Group and increase the attendee’s numbers from buy in from Operational Teams around the business.
* Plan and deliver Social Value plans in line with regional priorities.
* Liaise with customers on their Social Value objectives through mobilisation of new contracts and on-going support for existing contracts/clients.
* Adopt a proactive approach to improving performance and promoting Social Value to both internal and external stakeholders.
* Support the bid team in the production of plans for the wider business and contract wins.
* Manage and monitor project Social Value performance with a particular focus on meeting our commitments via our existing social value portal, current TOMS, Client led requirements and delivery via the Operational Teams.
* Organise, promote, and manage stakeholder visits and associated programmes.
* Interface with our live sites and supply chain partners to ensure social obligations are fulfilled as per agreed commitments.
* Attend functions and events in relation to community engagement with Operational Teams.
* Assist and support in coordinating a structured programme of communications, PR and media relations promoting the company and its services to the identified key target audiences via the Marketing Director, Pre-Construction Director, Bid Team, and Operational Teams.
* Review socially orientated project case studies produced by Operational Teams.
* Ensure the business leaves a positive legacy within the communities we work.
Requirements:
To be considered for this Social Value Manager role you must meet the following criteria:
* Previous employment as a Social Value Manager, Social Value Coordinator, Social Value Officer or Social Value Champion, Responsible Business Coordinator / Manager, or similar roles to be considered.
* Ideally Previous Main Contractor employment but not essential.
* High level of communication skills.
* Experience in a social value or CSR role within charity, construction, facilities, engineering, or training/skills background.
* Analytical and data interpretation and management skills.
* Strong literacy skills and excellent attention to detail.
* Excellent communication, networking, and relationship management skills.
* Ability to engage well with others and influence a range of key stakeholders.
* Confidence in meeting and working with a diverse range of people from a variety of backgrounds.

Based in Birmingham & occasional national coverage (within England & Wales)
Package:
The successful Social Value Manager will receive:
* £45K Salary - £65,000
* £6500.00 Car Allowance/Company Car with Fuel Card/Salary Sacrifice after 3 months
