You will be working in the Cardiff location in the residential service that is passionate about making changes and enhancing young peoples lives. This role will involve caring for these often-vulnerable individuals, assisting them with day-to-day tasks, and supporting them as and when required, providing a safe and nurturing environment for individuals.
You will support children and young people in developing their living skills and access education / therapy, promote positive behaviour and helping individuals to manage their emotions and behaviours effectively, and help build positive relationships with the individuals themselves, their families and other professionals working in care.
This position will be a temp to perm, and will run for 12 weeks, after the 12 weeks there will be an opportunity to be placed permanently. There will be fixed rotas and fixed hours for the 12 weeks and on-wards.
Requirements for the role:
Child-centred approach to care
Previous experience within children social care or transferrable skill role is desirable.
Full UK driving licence
NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care is desirable, but you do have the option to work towards it.
Basic understanding of children's human rights and safeguarding is essential.
Must be Social Care Wales registered What the role will include:
Supporting children and young adults between the ages of 8-16 years old with complex needs/or behavioural and emotional disorders.
To safeguard and support the well-being of the children and young adults.
Adhering to strict health and safety practice to ensure the welfare of the children and young people
Building a good rapport with the children and young adults as well as their families
Writing accurate and detailed reports
Keeping up to date with the childrens and young peoples care plans and risk assessments
Adopting a child-centred approach to provide the best care to children and young people with complex health / emotional needsHours available:

Minimum of £12.50 an hour - up to £14.50 an hourBenefits:
