Join Our Client's Team as a Senior Engineer - HV!
Belcan Workforce Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Senior Engineer (HV) in the power sector for our client, who is an engineering and design consultancy. This will be a Permanent opportunity; the role will be hybrid with one day per week required in their Manchester Office and offers a competitive salary and benefits.
Responsibilities:
Report directly to the HV Team Leader and ensure the quality and consistency of the team's output in producing and controlling drawings and technical documents.
Collaborate with the Power Sector Director to assist in the bid process to secure further work.
Manage the production of all designs, calculations, reports, and drawings associated with new or modified HV projects from 400V (LV) to 33kV.
Provide expertise in single line diagrams, key line diagrams, layout drawings, technical specifications, and other design deliverables.
Support CAD technicians in drawing development and ensure timely project delivery.
Demonstrate enthusiasm, maturity, and the ability to work effectively within a diverse team without full-time supervision.
Requirements: Person Specification
Minimum HNC (with relevant work experience) in Electrical Engineering, with a Power/HV background.
Ideally MEng/MSc in Electrical Engineering, with a Power/HV background.
Working toward CEng status is beneficial.
Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
Technical Skills and Experience
Proficiency in software packages such as ProDesign, MathCAD, ETAP, DigSilent, PSS/E, ERACS, AutoCAD, Revit, etc.
Familiarity with IEC and BS EN standards.
Experience in guiding CAD technicians.
