Contract Details: Permanent, Full Time (Monday - Friday, 9-5pm)

About Our Client:

Our client is a family-run business with seven entities, currently seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their team of four. As an integral part of their organisation, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of their day-to-day financial operations.

Process weekly and monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy in timesheets, preparing payroll spreadsheets, processing payroll in the software, and conducting payroll reconciliation
Perform bank reconciliation on a weekly and monthly basis for seven bank accounts
Support the preparation of management accounts
Handle accrual and prepayment activities on a monthly basis
Complete month-end activities, including preparing and posting journals
Conduct internal bank transfers between companies
Control and process supplier payments on a weekly basis and as per request
Process customer refunds on a weekly basis and as per request
Provide relevant information to senior management upon request
Perform job costings
Contribute to process improvement initiatives
Perform finance and administrative tasks within the office
Maintain an accurate customer database
Manage phone and email inquiries with professionalism and efficiencyEssential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

Previous experience in the accounts sector, matching the requirements outlined above
Excellent communication skills
Strong commitment to providing high-quality work
Proficiency in Sage 50 accounts, Sage Payroll, and Microsoft OfficeHow to apply:
