Up to £30,091.21 per annum plus £2,600 car allowance - non-contractual (FTE £34,792.97)

Hybrid - Midlands / East of England with travel across our geography as required

As a Sheltered Housing Team Leader at Longhurst Group, you will be leading a team of Service Managers across Cambridgeshire, Huntingdon, Norfolk and Lincolnshire, ensuring the Sheltered Schemes are effectively monitored and well-managed in order to deliver the highest possible service to our older customers. You will also be working in partnership with colleagues across the Group.

Further key responsibilities are listed below:

Manage a team of Service Managers, providing guidance and support to the team including staff development, one to ones, annual appraisals, and performance management.

Promote effective communication and consultation with customers, ensuring our customers are represented and at the heart of everything.

Effectively manage service provision, ensuring schemes and compliance tasks are covered and any general staffing issues are resolved effectively.

Promote an awareness of the team’s role in effective tenancy management issues and support to co-ordinate activities to ensure the best outcome for the customer and group.

In order to be successful in application for our Sheltered Housing Team Leader role, you’ll need a proven background in Housing Management, strong knowledge of tenancy and ASB issues and an understanding of Health, Safety and Compliance Legislation. Have a driving licence and access to a vehicle for travel across our Schemes is also a must.

Our Sheltered Housing Team Leader position is a hybrid position, contracted to 32 hours per week. To us, this means a weekly presence across the Schemes within your geographical area, with some time working from home and some presence in either our Rushden, Peterborough or Boston office for training and team meetings. A large portion of our Sheltered Housing team are patch based too, with team meetings held at sites or in our offices.

This role currently attracts a non-contractual car allowance according to our Driving at Work Policy. This is currently set at £2,600 per annum, however eligibility for the allowance and the rate of the allowance is reviewed annually and any changes will be notified to you.
